As most of you know, last year Eluvium Brewing Co, with the help of our awesome customers, helped two kids have a wonderful Christmas. This year we’d like to ask for your help again granting Christmas wishes for area kids in foster care and domestic violence shelters. We’re doing things a little differently this year, we have decided to partner with Tammy and Kipper from the Morning Mix on 96.5 FM and participate in their Christmas is for Kids program.
Working with Departments of Social Services, Caring for Children, Helpmate, the Bair Foundation, SafeLight and other organizations they’ve collected the Christmas wishes of more than 500 abused or neglected kids right here in our community. Eluvium Brewing Company has adopted seven children ranging from infants to teenagers through the Mix Christmas website and we’d like your help to give them a wonderful Christmas this year.
We have set up an Angel Tree in the brewery with each of the kids wishes or needs. You can come in and take the childs name off the tree or you can donate via Paypal on the link below and let us do the shopping for you. We also have a barrel set up in the brewery for donating toys for kids that may not have been sponsored. We will be donating a portion of the sales of our Winter Rye Amber Ale through out December to help by gifts as well. Check out the lists below, we prefer if you want to buy a gift you take their name off the Angel Tree however, if you buy something please let us know @ admin@eluviumbrewing.com so we can take that gift off the list. Also, please do not wrap any donated gifts, this will be done by the volunteers prior to distribution. If you are willing and able, you can go to the Christmas is for Kids website and sponsor a child that way.
The only unfotunate thing is that we are are on a shorter deadline than last year because of the vast number of kids involved. We need all gifts by Decemeber 7th to give the volunteers enough time to sort and distribute the gifts to the kids. The weekend of the 7th the Eluvium crew will take all donated money and purchase any gifts that haven’t been brought to the brewery by the deadline.
No matter how you choose to give, let’s give these kids the Christmas they deserve!
